Michael Xander is an artist and woodworker living and working in Philadelphia. StudioXander specializes in custom built-ins and furniture that make use of wasted space in the home and office. When not building furniture he is working on his Samurai Showdown Series, a continuous sequential narrative in oil and rice paper on canvas which uses the modern urban landscape to describe the battle between the old and the new. Michael graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and has shown his work throughout the city including Salt Art Gallery in Olde City.
